privacy policy

your accounts, balances, transactions, tags, budgets, bills and holdings are stored in a database on your iphone. your simplefin access token is stored in the ios keychain.

shekel has no sign-up and no shekel account, so there's no profile, email address or password held anywhere.

if backups are on, shekel saves backup files to your own icloud drive, in the shekel folder. those files are covered by apple's icloud terms, and the developer has no access to them. if icloud drive is off, backups are kept on the device.

simplefin bridge (simplefin.org): if you connect it, shekel requests your account data directly from simplefin using your token. nothing passes through the developer. simplefin's own privacy policy applies to that service.

apple financekit: if you allow it, shekel reads apple card, apple cash and apple savings data on your device through apple's financekit. it isn't sent anywhere.

yahoo finance: to show stock prices, shekel requests public quotes for the ticker symbols you hold. no account or personal data is included.

shekel contains no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking code, and doesn't use cookies.

shekel.gusfl.us is a static website. it sets no cookies and runs no analytics. like any website, the hosting provider (amazon web services) may keep standard request logs.

deleting the app removes all of its data from your iphone. backups can be deleted from icloud drive → shekel in the files app. to disconnect simplefin, remove the app connection at bridge.simplefin.org.

shekel isn't directed to children under 13.
